The Institute of Contemporary Art in Dunaújváros (ICA-D) is operated by the Public Foundation for Modern Art.
The public foundation was founded by the Municipality of Dunaújváros in 1994 while its predecessor in title, the Foundation for Modern Art, was founded in 1990 by the City Council of Dunaújváros.
Between the Public Foundation for Modern Art and the Municipality there exists a maintenance contract, which the parties shall renew yearly.
