We can enjoy contemporary classical music as well as songs of a more popular style through Krisztina Ujhazy's compositions, and songs of the Jolly Jackers. We can hear pieces for mixed choir sung by the Viadana Chamber Choir, songs for voice and piano, performed by Orsolya Uitz and Katalin Tótin, and also rock songs and ballads, inspired by the Irish folk music, played by the band Jolly Jackers.
Krisztina Ujhazy was born and raised in Dunaújváros, moved abroad for several years, then came back to live and work in her hometown. She is a music teacher, choir conductor and violin player. She started composing music several years ago, mainly pieces for mixed choir. Some of them were performed by the Viadana Chamber Choir. She took the composition course of the Kodály Institute of Kecskemét in the summer of 2014, where she wrote several songs for voice and piano. She joined the Irish-punk band Jolly Jackers as a violinist in 2013, where she also tried herself as a songwriter. Some of her compositions and songs will be performed for those who are open to very different music genres.
